Imprisoned

Act, Level 1
Alex groans while waking up, their body feeling like it has been beaten and battered by a thousand punches and kicks. Opening their eyes, they realise they are lying on a floor of bones.  Everything is pitch black for a moment, and as their eyes adjust, they jump in shock. The walls appear to have octopus tentacles squirming horizontally. As they get their bearings, they reach into their pocket and discover that they have infinite cello tape.

Flashback
 Alex: I always need my cello tape because it has always got through any stick situation.
Alex: “Where am I? who am I? what is this place?”
A glimmer appears in the corner of Alexa’s eye, they move towards the rusty bars “is that a key?”
Alex: “I can use this cello tape to make a boomerang, with the bones these with bones won’t last very long.”


Secret Hidden location
Unknown to Alex there is a hidden compartment that holds boomerangs that are more durable than bones.
There is no hesitation to grab the key, they slowly move and look around the corner to see if there is any guards, and quietly moves to the stairs adjacent to the room.

Second floor
Alex: “I see the rocks are blocking my way to the next floor. I can make a DIY pickaxe from Bones and rusty cell bars, this won’t be as durable as if they were made from wood and good quality metal.

Secret Hidden Location
This item will be more useful than the boss as it takes less time to build pickaxes, those seconds count.
Alex: “More stairs going down but I do wonder what awaits on the next floor.”

Boss Level
As they walk into the giant room they see a crystal monster on a pedestal in the middle of the room, with broken pillars scattered along the sea of bones. Alex steps onto a pressure plate on the floor releasing the crystal monster from its slumber.
Alex: “If I can bait the crystal monster to where the broken pillars are, I can use the boomerang to knock the fragile spikes on the ceiling. I just need to be careful the monster”
“The monster seems stuck once it leaps into the ground, I should use my pickaxe.”
doesn’t whack me, or I will not be able to aim.

Leveling up
Congratulations, you have leveled from 1 to 2.

Level 2, Act 2
The maze has two pressure plates. They just need to be activated by using the pickaxe which needs to be cleared from a pile of rubble and bones, and the boomerang for out of reach places. The player must make their way through a path that has mostly bones, and when they activate both pressure plates a door will open.
Alex: “All of the cells are full of people, is this… are these people the reason why they are so many bones?
